For Honor

For Honor is an online fighting game on PC, Xbox One and PS4, featuring sword fights between groups of samurais, knights and vikings.

Beyond its deep VS fighting mechanics, it features a rich online component with an item shop, characters customization, unlocks, complex matchmaking, leaderboards, emblem crafting, and a massive continuous meta-game.

As the lead online programmer for the last 6 months of the project, my mission was to make sure the game could be released in time without online feature defect.

I provided the programmers with logistic support such as tasks management and connection with other teams (live ops, tools, hardware…).

A major challenge for the team was to convey its needs with the project hierarchy, notably load tests, and the need for more resources, leading to an increase of the headcount to 20 including seasoned specialists. That effort was then carried on during the live development, after my departure.
